Bahadur Singh Lama Appointed As Chief Minister Of Bagmati

Jul 23, Kathmandu- Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang), the leader of Nepali Congress Bagmati Province Parliamentary Party, has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.

Bagmati Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma has appointed Lama as the Chief Minister.

According to the agreement of Congress and UML to share power, a claim was submitted to Provincial Chief Sharma only on Tuesday afternoon to form a new government under the leadership of Congress Parliamentary Party leader Lama in Bagmati province.

According to the office of the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister will be sworn in at 11 am on Wednesday after the appointment of the Chief Minister. He became the Chief Minister with the support of 37 Congress and 27 UML provincial assembly members.

Earlier, after the resignation of Bagmati Chief Minister Shalikram Jamakattel, Chief Minister Sharma had called on the party to represent the state assembly on Sunday to form a new government.
