Gaushala 26 Submits Request To Drop The Rape Case Against Cricketer Lamichhane

Jul 26, Kathmandu- The victim, Gaushala 26, has petitioned to have the rape case against leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane of the Nepali cricket team dismissed.

Requesting that the rape charge against Lamichhane not be appealed to the Supreme Court, Gaushala 26 headed to the Patan office of the High Public Prosecutor. On Thursday, Gaushala 26 had reached with the application. Along with the application, she has also sent in a comprehensive copy of her citizenship.

She has claimed that she is under a lot of mental stress due to this case and she is in a difficult situation socially as well and she has submitted the application with the wish not to proceed further. She has submitted a handwritten application to the High Government Advocate Office.

Shankar Khatri, head of the High Public Prosecutor's Office, has confirmed that Gaushala 26 has submitted a request not to proceed with the case. He said that he would not comment further on the application.
