Jul 27, Kathmandu- Kamala Harris has announced her candidacy for the post of US President.

Making the announcement on social media platform X, Kamala Harris wrote, 'Today I signed the forms officially declaring my candidacy for President of the United States of America. I will work hard to earn every vote. And in November, our people-powered campaign will win'.

Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama have also supported her candidacy. Most of the Democratic MPs are in his favor and it is believed that he will be formally selected as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party at the party convention to be held in August.
