Number Of Ministers In Bagmati Increased, 14 Ministers Appointed In 13 Ministries

Jul 27, Kathmandu- The number of ministers of the Bagmati government has been increased. 14 ministers have been appointed in 13 ministries of the province.

4 ministers of the province have taken the oath of office and secrecy. 4 ministers appointed by Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama took oath during a ceremony on Saturday.

Provincial Chief Minister Yadav Chandra Sharma administered the oath to 4 Congress ministers. State chief Sharma administered oath to Suraj Chandra Lamichhane, Min Krishna Maharjan, Hariprabha Khadgi and Bimal Thakuri of Congress.

After their swearing in, the duties of the ministry have also been determined. The responsibilities of 7 Congress ministers have been assigned including 3 appointed on Wednesday and 4 appointed on Thursday.

Lamichhane has been assigned the responsibility of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Ministry of Youth and Sports to Maharjan, Ministry of Social Development to Khadgi and Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives to Thakuri.

Kundan Raj Kafle, who was appointed on Wednesday, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, while Shyam Bahadur Khadka has been given the Ministry of Water, Energy and Irrigation. Madukumar Shrestha will be assigned the responsibility later.
