Jul 27, Kathmandu- One person was killed in a shootout between the Indian Army and unidentified persons in Jammu and Kashmir, a sensitive region between India and Pakistan. An exchange of fire broke out between security forces and unidentified persons along the Line of Control (LoC) in Machhal sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the Indian security forces, one Pakistani was killed in the firing. According to him, two Indian soldiers were also injured in that process. In a tweet on the social networking website X, the army said that the injured soldiers have been evacuated while the operation is ongoing.
