Simaltal Bus Accident: A 40 kg magnet was brought from India to find the missing bus

Jul 27, Kathmandu- Efforts to find the missing bus in Trishuli have been going on since 15 days ago.

The Armed Police, Nepali Army and Nepal Police started searching for the bus and passengers by using the available resources from the day the bus fell from Simaltal on the Narayanghat-Muglin road. Later, the government sought help from India to find the missing buses and passengers. The rescue team 'NDRF', which arrived in Chitwan from India on Shrawan 5, along with Nepal's Armed Police Force, started searching the river from the next day. The Indian team brought 3 sonar cameras.

Before that, the Armed Police and the Nepali Army were also searching using sonar cameras but they didn't have a record system for it. The Indian team has the technology to record the images it shows along with the camera. A team with 4 divers and an expert is cooperating with the armed police force by submerging the sonar camera from Simaltal to Kavreghat, about 30 km away, searching for the bus and passengers.

The Indian team has called a 'magnetic device' (big magnet) to find out if it is in a possible place. On Asadha 28, around 3:30 in the morning, Bagmati Pradesh No. 03-006 BH 1516 Angel Deluxe and Bagmati Pradesh No. 03-001 BH 2495 going to Gaur from Birganj to Kathmandu from Simaltal on Narayanghat-Muglin Road located in Bharatpur-29 fell into the Trishuli River.

It is estimated that there are 38 pilgrims on Ganapati and 27 on Angels. According to SP Bhawesh Rimal, Chief of District Police Office, Chitwan, the bodies of 19 passengers have been found so far. Among the identified bodies, 5 are of Indian origin.
