Jul 29, Kathmandu- A meeting was held between Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chan Song. Various aspects of Nepal-China relations were discussed in the meeting held today at Singhdarbar, the office of the Minister of Energy.
During the meeting, Ambassador Song pledged that China would support the energy sector as it is important and indispensable for the development of Nepal.
He said that since the current government is made up of two major political parties in the country, he is fully optimistic that this government will advance development.
During the meeting, Energy Minister Khadka thanked for the cooperation in bringing the border crossing with China, which was closed during the Corona epidemic, into operation.
"I am also an elected member of parliament of the district bordering China, I hope that the environment for entering China through citizenship will be improved to facilitate the living standards of the people of Nepal bordering China," he said.
Minister Khadka says that Nepal does not want a loan from China, but grant assistance. Energy Minister Khadka mentioned that since China has made a big leap in social, economic and technological development, Nepal also wants to follow it.
