Bangladesh Power: Army announces formation of interim government

Aug 05, Kathmandu- Bangladesh General Waker-uz-Zaman has said that an interim government led by the military will be formed in the country.

After Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post and went to Agartala, the capital of Tripura state of India, he said this while addressing the countrymen.

General Waker has also asked the protesters to stop the violence.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left the country. Hasina has flown to Agartala, the capital of the Indian state of Tripura.

Prime Minister Hasina resigned and left the capital Dhaka after the violence escalated since last July, according to international media.

She resigned from her position and flew to the Indian city of Agartala as the student movement raged in Bangladesh reached its peak.
