Aug 18, Kathmandu- Ram Prasad Acharya has been appointed as Director General of the Inland Revenue Department.
Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel changed the responsibilities of joint secretaries and made Acharya the Director General of Revenue. Similarly, Hari Sharan Pudasaini has become the Director General of the Customs Department. According to the cabinet's decision, Minister Paudel assigned the responsibilities of the joint secretaries who were transferred and came to the Ministry of Finance, while the responsibilities of some joint secretaries were changed. While Yamuna Pradhan and Janakraj Sharma were made Deputy Director General of Customs Department, Dilliram Panthi was assigned the responsibility of Joint Controller General of the Office of the Controller General of Accounts.
Similarly, Kavita Regmi and Gopikrishna Koirala have been made Deputy Director General of Internal Revenue Department. Minister Paudel has appointed Ramesh Aryal as the Chief Tax Administrator of the Large Taxpayer Office and Parvati Sharma as the Chief Tax Administrator of the Medium Taxpayer Office. Paudel has assigned his close staff to important posts in the ministry. While Uttar Kumar Khatri has been given the responsibility of Finance Ministry Revenue Management Division, Madan Dahal has been assigned the Finance Ministry Administration Division, Than Prasad Pangeni has been assigned the Financial Federalism Coordination Division, Mahesh Bhattarai has been assigned the Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Division and Amrit Lamsal has been assigned the responsibility under the Ministry of Finance. Deepak Lamichhane has been made the Chief Customs Administrator of Birganj Customs Office.
Earlier, Dhani Ram Sharma was assigned the responsibility of International Aid Coordination Division Chief and Shri Krishna Nepal was assigned the responsibility of Budget and Program Division Chief.
