2200 Nepalese Selected Through Lottery System To Go To Israel

Aug 29, Kathmandu- The Israeli government has set a list of 2200 Nepalese to go Israel for employment. The Israeli government has decided the list of 2200 Nepalese through the lottery system.

1196 female and 1006 male workers were selected through a lottery system in an event held in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. The Israeli Embassy in Nepal has informed that the list of 2200 workers has been decided by lottery system in the program organized by the Department of Population and Immigration of the Government of Israel.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine is still ongoing after the attack launched by Hamas on October 7. After the Hamas attack, the Nepali government brought back Nepali workers from Israel, and a large number of Nepali workers are still working in different cities of Israel.

In an event held at the Israeli embassy in Kathmandu on Thursday, the event held in Jerusalem was telecast live in the presence of media persons and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu has also informed that the Population and Immigration Department of Israel will send the list to the Foreign Employment Department of Nepal.
