There is no situation to increase the salary of employees: Prime Minister Oli

Sep 07, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that it is not possible to increase the salaries of employees immediately.

He said this while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 21st Civil Service Day in Kathmandu on Saturday. He said that he is aware of the problems of the employees and said that the current economy cannot increase the salary of the employees.

He mentioned that when the economy was strong, the salary was increased by 25 percent at one time and insisted that it is not possible to increase even 25 paisa now. He said that if the country and the economy can move forward by facing the difficulties now, the wages and benefits will also increase. Oli said that opposing the government in a planned and sponsored manner is considered as bravery without doing anything.

He said, "There have been problems with employees. I am the kind of person who would give a 25 percent salary increase if I got some money. At first, I had increased it all at once. At present, the situation is such that it is not possible to raise even 25 paise, not 25 percent. It is not possible for the country's economy to do it. It will be possible only with my heart. Now if we make up our minds and face the difficulties, if we face them and move the country and the economy forward, our wages and benefits will also increase. Everything grows".
