Australia To Set Minimum Age For Social Media Use

Sep 10, Kathmandu- The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, has said that in order to keep children safe, he will introduce a law to set a minimum age for the use of social media.

Prime Minister Albanese said that the purpose of making such a law is to support parents' concerns about children and to protect children.

He said in a post on social network X, 'We will make a law to determine the minimum age for the use of social networks, keeping in mind the safety of children'.

He said, 'Most parents ask me how old their children should be to use social media. We will introduce a law in Parliament to fix the minimum age for social media and other digital platforms'.
