Demonstration Continues At Transplant Center In Bhaktapur Demanding Removal Of Executive Director

Sep 16, Kathmandu- Residents of Bhaktapur have continued their protest against the irregularities in the Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Centre. On Monday, they also took part in local demonstrations.

In the ongoing agitation led by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, it has been demanded to end the irregularities and distress in the hospital immediately. In connection with the movement, they met Health Minister Pradip Poudel on Sunday and submitted a memorandum. With the signatures of nearly two hundred people, they informed Minister Poudel about the problems in the center.

They demanded immediate resumption of heart, liver, kidney, lung and nerve services at the center, creating an environment for providing services from 9 am to 4 pm, ending all kinds of social harassment inside the hospital, payment of the withheld salary allowance of employees according to the Labor Act and action to the center's leadership.
