Cheap Price Shops Being Operated All Over The Country From Today

Sep 19, Kathmandu- In anticipation of the upcoming 'Dashain', 'Tihar', and 'Chhath', and other festivals shops across the nation, including those in the Kathmandu Valley, have commenced operations today, offering attractive discounts.

The Food Management and Trade Company Limited has been managing cheap price shops across 63 locations in 42 districts, utilizing government-approved materials worth 30 million rupees. As per the ministerial decision on Bhadra 23, 2081, these cheap price shops will been established. In response to the increased demand for essential goods during the major Nepali festivals of Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath, the operation of these low-cost shops has been initiated to cater to this need.

The company said that to create an environment to provide quality goods at a reasonable price, to control the market price in the current scenario where the private sectors are especially focused on profit, to help stabilize the market price with the involvement of government in the market, to encourage the private sector for business through healthy competition rather than the government to meet the entire demand of the consumers, and to facilitate and coordinate the necessary. The operation of the festival offers will be conducted from today until the 2nd of Paush. Discount retail stores are set to open in four locations within the Kathmandu Valley, specifically in Thapathali, Ramshahpath, Nakhkhu, and Suryavinayak. The company has also announced that home delivery services will be offered through online orders.
