Death of Raute Youth, Community In Grief!

Sep 19, Kathmandu- A young man from the Raute community passed away last night. The individual, identified as 22-year-old Brisha Bahadur Shahi, had been admitted to the provincial hospital for treatment on the 31st of last Bhadra. Unfortunately, after not receiving adequate medical care, the young man died at Kalyankandh in Surkhet last night while returning to Gurans rural municipality-1 Simelsal, the place where he lived, Binod BC, a health worker of the Raute project said.

The deceased who has passed away was the son of Bir Bahadur Shahi, the head of the Kalyal caste. The deceased's brother, Kapil Shahi died six years ago. In the year 2072, Kapil was perished in a fire that occurred in Kujeda, located in Bhairavasthan of Achham. Kapil was the eldest son of Bir Bahadur Shahi. With the passing of Brish Bahadur Shahi, the Raute population has diminished to 134.

At present, the community resides in Simesal within Gurans Rural Municipality-1. According to Lal Bahadur Khatri, an employee of SOSEC Nepal, there have been 43 fatalities in this community since Asadha 2075, while only 31 births have occurred. Additionally, another young individual, Surendra Shahi, has been suffering from paralysis, he reported.
