Cooperative Inquiry Report Released (Full Text)

Sep 20, Kathmandu- The cooperative inquiry report prepared by the Parliamentary Inquiry Special Committee has been released.

The House of Representatives has published the investigation report. The inquiry committee submitted the inquiry report to the House of Representatives on Bhadra 31. On the same day, Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave instructions to the government to send it for implementation.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Ashwin 2 has already decided to implement the investigation report. The investigation report has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

This report was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the House of Representatives also made it public. A special committee formed under the leadership of MP Surya Thapa has recommended action against Gorkha Media Network Pvt Ltd President Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, member Kumar Ramtel, then managing director Ravi Lamichhane and director Chabiraj Joshi.

It is the opinion of the investigation committee that the funds of the cooperative were embezzled by investing in the Gorkha media network. It is mentioned in the report that when Lamichhane was the managing director, about 85 crores of loan from various cooperatives came in the name of Gorkha Media Network. Lamichhane, chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party, was a shareholder of Gorkha Media Network from 25 Chaitra 2077 to 25 Asadha 2079.
