Cultural Transformation Award To 12 Filmmakers

Sep 20, Kathmandu- The Film Development Board has awarded 'Cultural Transformation Award-2081' to 12 filmmakers including 5 from the film 'Balidan' and 7 others.

On the occasion of the completion of nine years since the promulgation of the Constitution, the Development Board organized a program on Friday and awarded 12 people, including 5 creators of the film 'Balidan' and 7 other filmmakers, for their significant contribution to the cultural transformation of the country.

Among the creators of the film 'Balidan' who will be awarded are director Tulsi Ghimire, actor Neer Shah, actor Harivansh Acharya, music composer Shyam Tamot and singer Lochan Bhattarai, while other filmmakers include actor Ramesharanjan Jha, actress Kabita Ale, actor Bhatsak Khanal, actor Riddhicharan Shrestha, actor Maotse Gurung, music composer Bikash Chaudhary and actress Prema Adhikari Gayre.

Minister of Communication and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung, Secretary of the Ministry Radhika Aryal and Chairman of the Board Dinesh D.C. each presented honors and awards with 25,000 rupees in cash and copperplates.
