Player Registration Process Open In NPL, Minimum Price Of A Grade Players Fixed To 1 Million

Sep 21, Kathmandu- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has opened the registration process for players participating in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) auction. CAN opened the registration through a press release on Saturday. Players who want to participate in the auction can register online.

A, B and C grades can be registered in the auction. The minimum price of A grade players is Rs 1 million. The price will go up to 1.5 million. CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama says that if more than one team bids up to 1.5 million for an A grade player, the lottery will be held.

The minimum price of B grade players has been set at 500 thousand. The highest value of B grade players will be up to 1 million. If it is more than 1 million, lot will be done. Similarly, the minimum price of C grade players has been set at 200 thousand. It will go up to 500 thousand at the most. After that, the lot will be drawn.

A fee of 1000 will be charged to register the player. The last time of registration is kept till 12th Ashwin.

NPL will be held in Kathmandu from November 30 to December 21. There are eight teams in NPL namely Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim and Karnali.
