Sep 26, Kathmandu- In the first month of the current financial year, remittances of 136 billion 930 thousand have entered the country. According to the details released by Nepal Rastra Bank today, the remittance inflow has increased by 18 percent during the review period.

In the same period of the previous year, the remittance inflow increased by 22.8 percent. The remittance flow in US dollars has reached 1 billion 200 million. In the previous year, such flow was 879 million 800 thousand.

During the review period, the number of Nepalese who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment was 36,928 and the number of re-employment permit is 22,647. In the same period of the previous year, such numbers were 39 thousand one hundred fifty two and 16 thousand four hundred twenty three respectively.

According to the Central Bank, the net secondary income (net transfer) during the review period reached Rs.148 billion 490 million. During the same period of the previous year, such income was 128 billion 210 thousand.
