People Sitting Outside The Justice Council With Umbrella

Sep 27, Kathmandu- Nepal Bar Association has reached the Justice Council premises and started a dharna.

After the Judicial Council convened a meeting and started the discussion for the appointment of judges, from 10:00 am, the bar covered umbrellas and staged outside the gate.

The bar is immersed in water and surrounded the council as a form of protest. Bar President Gopal Krishna Ghimire has said that they are standing on dharna after an attempt was made to unconstitutionally forcefully appoint a judge. The council is preparing to appoint 6 judges to the Supreme Court and 16 judges to the High Court.
