Four Died n Lalitpur Due To Landslides

Sep 28, Kathmandu- After incessant rainfall, two people died in Takhel of Lalitpur while a father and daughter died after being buried by a landslide in Takhel of Godawari Municipality-3.

According to Shekhar Neupane, Chairman of Godavari Municipality-10, a 50-year-old woman and an eight-year-old girl died in a landslide in Takhel. Ward president of Godavari-3 Sanuraja Ghimire informed that father and daughter died after being buried by a mound in Godavari-3 Takhel. According to him, houses near Godawari Kunda are at high risk of landslides.

Manoj Kumar Parajuli, Ward President of Mahangkal-3 Gotikhel, said that the police station along with three houses in Mahangkal Rural Municipality-3 were swept away by the flood.

Baitarni Dhaam temple and police station have been washed away, three houses along with police station vehicles have also been washed away. There were five people there. They are not in contact", he said. He said that the police went to a safe place.

Ward president Narayan Bhomjan informed that 16 cows were washed away when a shed was washed away in Bagmati Rural Municipality-6 Ashrang.

"There has been no human loss so far," he said.

According to Uddhav Mahat, Chief of Bhattedanda Police Station located in Bagmati Rural Municipality-3, Kanti Lokpath has been completely closed.
