148 Died, 55 Missing In The Floods And Landslides Across The Country So Far

Sep 29, Kathmandu- So far, 148 people have died in floods and inundation, while 55 people have gone missing. One hundred people were injured in the disaster.

Home Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari informed that 38 people died in Dhading, 22 in Lalitpur, 16 in Kathmandu, 29 in Kavre, 7 in Makwanpur, 6 in Sindhupalchok, 5/5 in Solukhumbu Panchthar and Bhaktapur. According to him, three have died in Dolakha, two in Sindhuli, two in Dhankuta, two in Mahottari, one in Ramechhap, one in Jhapa Durai, one in Udaipur, one in Ilam, one in Saptari and one in Nuwakot.

Spokesman Tiwari said that 9,983 security personnel have been mobilized for search and rescue in the flood-affected areas and 3,661 people have been rescued so far. Similarly, according to the latest statistics provided by the Armed Police Force, 322 houses were damaged and 16 bridges were swept away by the flood.
