Court Orders To Release Durga Prasai On bail

Oct 01, Kathmandu- Kathmandu District Court has ordered Durga Prasai, the owner of B&C Medical College, to be released on a bond of one lakh rupees.

The bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Thakur Prasad Kharel ordered Prasai to be released on a bond of Rs 100,000 on Tuesday.

Prasain was arrested on the charge of cyber crime after he made a public statement that the leader of Rashtriya Swatra Sangraula, Jwala Sangraula, was character assassinated.

With the order of the court, Prasain will be released on Tuesday after paying the bail.

Two cases were filed by the district attorney's office in the district court of Kathmandu on charges of cyber crime against Prasai.

The District Public Prosecutor's Office had filed two cases in the District Court Kathmandu based on the investigation report of the Cyber ​​Bureau.

A case was filed against Prasai for character assassination of a woman on social media and another case related to character assassination through social media was also registered. In this case, a maximum of 5 years imprisonment and a fine of one lakh rupees were demanded for Prasai.

But the court released him on bail while hearing both cases. Prasai was arrested on Ashwin 6 from his residence in Bhaktapur.
