Congress Demands To Create A Learning Environment In Flood-Affected Educational Institutions

Oct 03, Kathmandu- Congress has called upon the government to establish a conducive learning environment in educational institutions impacted by flooding.

The Nepali Congress Central Education Department convened a meeting today, during which it was resolved to urge the government to reinstate educational activities following the resolution of issues that have emerged in the education sector due to the damage inflicted on schools and universities across 30 districts. Under the guidance of central member Nainsingh Mahar, the department has called upon the government to provide essential assistance to the families affected by these circumstances.

The department further emphasized that the government must prioritize addressing the challenges faced by schools, universities, students, and teachers who have been adversely affected. Mahar, the head of the department, indicated that the meeting also called for a heightened awareness of the physical and human toll inflicted by the recent rains, urging an understanding of the community's needs and the provision of necessary relief. Additionally, the Department of Education has resolved to supply educational materials to support teaching and learning initiatives. Mahar informed that a decision has been taken to collect suggestions from 6,743 wards, 753 municipalities and 165 constituencies to create education policy.
