Oct 05, Kathmandu- 27-year-old Som Bahadur Tamang of Maryangdi Rural Municipality-2 hit his son by a drunken father with a sickle. According to Nishant Srivastava, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, on Friday evening, the father and son were drinking alcohol.

After that, there was a dispute between them. The victim, identified as Santa Bahadur, died on the way to the hospital after sustaining serious injuries to his neck. The accused has been detained and legal action has been initiated.

Neighbours of Tamang said that if he could have reached the hospital in time, his life could have been saved. He died this morning while being taken to Chitwan after treatment was not possible at the district hospital.
