Cooperative Victims Protested Against Speaker Lamichhane In Chitwan

Oct 05, Kathmandu- There was a demonstration in Chitwan on Saturday against Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP). The co-operative victims demonstrated during the training program of RSP in Narayanakala temple in Bharatpur.

Co-ordinator of Co-operative Victims' Struggle Committee Salikram Dawadi informed that after the demonstration of co-operative victims which started from Lion's Chowk reached in front of Narayanikala temple, Rabi's supporters inside the temple threw stones and water bottles at the protestors.

According to him, four people who went to the demonstration are under the control of the police. He informed that an injured person is being treated at Chitwan Medical College. He accused the police administration of oppressing the co-operative victims. According to Dawadi, they were preparing to submit a memorandum to Ravi through a peaceful demonstration. He said that stones and water bottles were thrown from inside.

District Police Office Chitwan has informed that the protestors have been taken into custody after a clash broke out at the event venue. The police stationed at the venue for security took control of the situation.

The leader of the RSP has defended it. District President Krishna Bhusal said that the police took them into custody after pelting stones from outside. They were pelted with stones from outside, the police took them under control, he said, why would we throw stones when we welcome them with flowers? Earlier on Friday also in Mugling of Chitwan, cooperative victims had shown black flag to Rabi.
