Oct 05, Kathmandu- Beauty and cosmetology is now going to be taught in Pokhara. For the first time in Pokhara, CTEVT is going to teach a three-year diploma in beauty and cosmetology subjects.

Due to the growing awareness and attraction of beauty art, CTEVT is going to provide skill education in collaboration with Gandaki Technical Institute Pokhara and Gurung Beauty Academy.

Dhurv Sharma, president of Gandaki Technical Institute, informed that the subjects of beauty and cosmetology include skin care, beauty skills, massage, nail care, make-up, and therapy.

He said that the compulsion to go to India, Thailand, Australia, Dubai, America, UK after spending millions to study beauty and cosmetology is over. He says, 'After completing studies, there is an opportunity to become self-employed in Nepal. He said that even abroad and the earnings are high.

CTEVT director Talendra Acharya said that the courses of VT and cosmetology can be modified as per the need.

Beautician Chinu Gurung said that along with education, beauty education is also indispensable. She mentioned that one should be aware of the customer's demand according to the time.

4 lakh 95 thousand rupees will be charged for the subject to be studied in 6 semesters. Before this, the study of beauty and cosmetology has already started in Ganeshman polytechnic school, Kathmandu. The curriculum was developed in 2017.
