Oct 06, Kathmandu- 21 people were killed in an attack by the Israeli army on the central mosque in Gaza.

Twenty people were injured when Israeli forces attacked a mosque compound in Deir al Balah in the middle of Saturday night, Gaza's civil defense agency said.

The mosque was recently converted into a shelter for displaced persons.

The Israeli military issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack. According to the statement, "Hamas terrorists operating inside the command and control center in the mosque were attacked."
