Oct 06, Kathmandu- The newly appointed Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut has taken the oath of office and secrecy. Chief Justice Raut took the oath of office and secrecy at a program held at President's Residence  Sheetal Niwas on Sunday.

President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Chief Justice Raut. Earlier, President Paudel had appointed Raut to the post of Chief Justice on Sunday.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Speaker of the National Assembly Narayan Dahal, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Speaker, Ministers, Supreme Court judges, heads of constitutional organs, heads of security agencies and other high-ranking officials were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
