Oct 06, Kathmandu- Dengue infection has increased in Gorkha with the change of weather. According to the district health office, dengue infection has been observed in 846 people in the current financial year. Gorkha Municipality has the highest number of infected people with 683 people.

In the last three weeks, there has been a rush of dengue patients in Gorkha Hospital. Siddharth Khanal, the medical superintendent of the hospital, said that 5 beds were added due to the increase in the number of patients.

The data of the health office shows that the number of dengue-infected people has almost doubled this year compared to last year. Last financial year, dengue infection was seen in 488 people.
