Difficulty In Getting Public Transport And Air Tickets

Oct 07, Kathmandu- The number of people leaving Kathmandu Valley to go to their birthplace to celebrate Bada Dashain is increasing day by day. Now it is becoming difficult to get long-distance public transport and air tickets.

Bharat Bahadur Bohra, Chief of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and Deputy Inspector General of Police informed that 363,164 people left Kathmandu Valley from Ashwin 14th to Sunday 20th to celebrate Dashain. From Saturday evening to Sunday morning, 16,465 people have left Kathmandu.

Due to leaving the Kathmandu Valley for ten days, there is now a traffic jam on the roads and highways here. Motorists say that in some places, the roads are broken and washed away, making it very difficult for vehicles to drive and passengers.

Lokesh Singh of Kailali, who walked from Kathmandu Bus Park to the far-west today, said that due to the difficulty in getting bus and ship tickets, most of the citizens were not able to go home during the day and were forced to stop in the Kathmandu Valley.

Not only this, some long-distance passengers who were forced to travel from Kathmandu to Achham, even though they did not get a ticket, were forced to travel even though they were sitting on the bonnet and seat of the bus, said Deepak Bahadur Khatri, who was met at the Gongbu Bus Park in Kathmandu.
