Oct 08, Kathmandu- Nepal Rastra Bank has increased the limit of digital wallets of payment providers on the occasion of Dashain and Tihar.

NRB has increased the limit imposed on digital wallets to facilitate transactions during Dashain and Tihar.

The bank has issued a circular to the payment service providers and arranged that the general public can do business through the wallet up to 30 times a day. Currently, there was a provision to deposit money in the wallet hand to hand up to 10 times in a day.

Keeping in view the digital transactions that take place during Dashain and Tihar, the bank has now arranged that the amount can be deposited and transacted up to 30 times. The bank has increased the limit from Ashwin 21st to Kartik 1st and for Tihar from Kartik 15th to Kartik 22nd.

It is said that the old arrangement of the bank will be applied on days other than that day.

Outside of this period, natural persons can deposit or make payments to the digital wallet up to 10 times per day.
