Oct 10, Kathmandu- The police have arrested two people on the charge of hitting Punya Gautam with a rod.

SP Navraj Adhikari of District Police Complex Kathmandu informed that the police arrested two people and started investigation.

46-year-old Punya Gautam was hit with a rod and injured on the road in Beshigaon, Gokarneshwar Municipality-8, Kathmandu. The police arrested two people who were injured and escaped.

Those arrested are 30-year-old Tasi Lama alias Sanjiv Tamang of Kavre Temal and Cheamasingh of Bhaktapur and Dil Bahadur Gangdan alias Milan 41-year-old of Rasuwa and Gokarneshwar Municipality-4.

Police arrested Sanjeev on Tuesday and Dil Bahadur on Wednesday.

The police also seized a rod and three mobile phones from them.

According to the SP official, an investigation has been started against them for the industrial offense of killing.

The arrested Dil Bahadur Gangdang is the main planner. He is also the coordinator of the civil defense force under the civil defense campaign led by medical practitioner Durga Prasai. The reason for hitting the rod has not been revealed.
