Oct 12, Kathmandu- The Bagmati clean-up campaign has continued even on the Dashami of Bada Dashain. Bagmati is being cleaned on a voluntary basis every Saturday.

In the 596th week of the Bagmati Clean-up campaign, campaign worker Dr. Mala Kharel informed the media that the Bagmati banks in Tilganga were cleaned today. He informed that 10 cleaning campaign workers managed 10 sacks of garbage from 7 to 9 am. Kathmandu Metropolitan City manages the garbage collected by campaign workers.

The Bagmati clean-up campaign, which started on 5th Jestha 2070, has been taking place continuously for two hours every Saturday morning. The Bagmati Cleanliness Campaign has helped to spread cleanliness awareness among the citizens. Campaigners say that the expected success in cleaning has not been achieved due to the non-cooperation of the local government.
