Alterations In Monsoon Due To Climate Change

Oct 13, Kathmandu- Climate experts have said that due to climate change, the earth's temperature has increased and the monsoon system has also changed. Due to this change, this year's monsoon has left the country 10 days later than in previous years, they said.

Climatologist Manjit Dhakal considers the late withdrawal of monsoon as a change in the monsoon system. His analysis is that the incessant rain on Ashwin 11th and 12th is the effect of climate change. However, he insists that such climatic risks should be investigated.

He said that it is necessary to implement the concept of climate-friendly development for sustainable development. "Giving priority to climate adaptation programs has become inevitable," he said, quoting the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report.

Meteorologist Bishnu Ghimire also insists on the need for research to conclude whether the late termination of the monsoon system is an effect of climate change or not. He believes that due to the effects of climate change, the monsoon process may have been lower.
