Nepal Condemns The Attack On The Peacekeeping Force In Lebanon

Oct 15, Kathmandu- Nepal has strongly condemned the Israeli attack on peacekeepers in Lebanon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack and requested to investigate the incident and ensure security.

The ministry said through the social network X, "Nepal strongly condemns the recent attacks on UNIFIL peacekeepers and urges the parties to the conflict to guarantee their safety and security. Such actions should be stopped immediately and a proper investigation should be conducted.

On Sunday, the Israeli army entered the base camp of the peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon.

The international media reported that six peacekeepers were injured when the Israeli army launched an attack on Hezbollah on Monday. The Nepalese army has also been working as a peacekeeping force of the United Nations in Lebanon.

33 countries, including Nepal, involved in the UN peacekeeping mission issued a joint statement on Monday condemning the attack by the Israeli army.
