Oct 15, Kathmandu- A husband has been arrested in Jhapa for murdering his wife.

DSP Krishna Kumar Chand of District Police Office Jhapa informed that a woman was killed in Arjundhara Municipality-3 Darjeeling Hill at 3:45 PM on Monday.

46-year-old Bir Bahadur Chauhan, a resident of Junge Ghari, killed his 37-year-old wife Muna Chauhan by hitting him with a sharp weapon.

Muna died after sustaining a severe neck injury.

Bir Bahadur, who was absconding after the incident, was arrested by the police at around 5:00 PM.

The police have started further investigation on him.
