Preparations For SAFF Women's Championship Concluded

Oct 15, Kathmandu- All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is going to organize SAFF Women's Championship 2024 at Dashrath Stadium from October 17th (Thursday) to 30th. At a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, ANFA informed that they are going to organize the championship according to the schedule of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).

Seven teams including Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh are participating in the tournament. Among the participating teams, Pakistan, Maldives and Bangladesh have arrived, while India and Bhutan have been informed that they will arrive in Kathmandu by Wednesday morning. To prepare for the competition, the 23-member Nepali national women's team is undergoing closed training under the leadership of head coach Rajendra Tamang.

The teams participating in the competition will be trained at the playground of ANFA complex, Bhadrakali and Lagankhel playground of Nepal Army and St. Xavier's school playground. The ticket price for the group stage of the tournament is fixed at 300 rupees for general gate and 500 rupees for VIP.

The ticket price for the knockout stage matches has been fixed at 500 rupees for general tickets and 1000 rupees for VIP tickets. All children up to 10 years of age will be given free entry to the competition. For the convenience of the spectators throughout the competition, arrangements have been made for lunch inside the stadium premises. For this, an agreement has been made with Shivans Foods Product Pvt. Ltd.
