Eight Arrested For Gambling Including The Former Ward President

Oct 17, Kathmandu- Eight people, including the former ward president, were arrested while gambling from Manhari rural municipality-6 of Makwanpur. They were arrested from Krishna Pakhrin's shed at Manhari rural municipality-6 Bhulchok at 12 midnight.

Among those arrested are the former ward president of Manhari 6 Gopilal Moktan and 8 people from the same ward. According to District Police Office Makwanpur, 47-year-old Resham Tamang, 24-year-old Ravin Moktan, 42-year-old Ashok Rai, 40-year-old Krishna Thing, 40-year-old Krishna Pakhrin, 45-year-old Santosh Rai and 33-year-old Vishnu Pakhrin of Manhari-6 are identified.

Based on the gambling information, the police team headed by Police Inspector Bishal Sapkota from Area Police Office Manhari arrested them. District Police Office Makwanpur said that 45,445 rupees in cash and 10 decks were recovered from them. It has been informed that the necessary investigation process has been initiated against those arrested.
