Oct 17, Kathmandu- The three main parties have agreed to complete the search committee formed for the recommendation of officials of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

In a meeting held on Thursday at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, the formation of a Transitional Justice Commission was discussed. Although Parliament has amended the TRC Bill, both commissions are without officials.

A recommendation committee was also formed under the leadership of former Chief Justice Omprakash Mishra. But since the National Human Rights Commission did not send members, the recommendation committee (search committee) could not be completed.

The top leaders of the three parties have agreed to complete the search committee. "Now the government asks the commission to send members", said Shakti Basnet, Deputy General Secretary of Maoist, who participated in the discussion.

Attorney General Ramesh Badal also informed that there has been a positive discussion about moving the process forward.
