Senior Hamas Leader Confirmed To Have Been Killed In An Israeli Military Operation

Oct 18, Kathmandu- The Israeli army has confirmed that the main leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, has been killed. Sinwar was killed in southern Gaza during the military operations of the Israeli army. Sinwar was not killed in a planned special military operation. Sinwar was killed in a routine operation by the Israeli army.

Sinwar has been leading the military group of Hamas since 2017. The United Kingdom, the United States and Israel have stated that Sinwar was the main planner of the attack on Israel on October 7 last year.

In the attack on October 7, almost 1,200 people were killed in Israel and more than 250 people were taken hostage. The killing of Yahya Sinwar in the war against Hamas in Gaza is Israel's biggest victory so far.

Sinwar's death has come as a serious blow to Hamas. He was not killed in a planned special military operation, but was killed in a clash with the Israeli army in Rafah, southern Gaza.
