International Mountain Arts Festival Being Held In Mustang

Oct 21, Kathmandu- With the aim of celebrating nature, culture and creativity, the first International Mountain Art Festival will be held in the Himalayan district of Mustang from October 18-24 (October 2-8).

Mustang is famous for its traditional music, dance and various cultural traditions. Triple P Gurung of the organizing committee said that the festival is going to be organized with the aim of imparting the same art to the painters.

During the festival, these programs will be held in places like Marpha, Thini, Kagbeni and Jomsom in Mustang. Various cultural and musical programs including Fossil Hunt and Stone Art, Sound Healing will be held in the festival along with outdoor painting workshop. Another attraction of the festival is 'Travelling KIMFF'.

Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) will coordinate this program, which will show famous films from the Himalayan region for two hours every evening from October 20th to 24th.

International painters such as Direk Kingnok, Akaraj WSP from Thailand, Iwa Kruezkoska from Poland, Stefan Balog from Romania, Jampel Cheda from Bhutan, Emmy Go from Indonesia and Cheng Han Wen from Taiwan will participate in the festival.

Similarly, Sheerjan Rajbhandari, Erina Tamrakar, Hare Ram Joju, NB Gurung, Wang Lama, Dhwoj Gurung, Manoj Tamang, Nabin Nalbo and Akash Gurung will also share their talents.
