Inauguration Of Galyang Nagar Hospital Building In Syangja Under Indian Assistance

Oct 26, Kathmandu- The building of Galyang Nagar Hospital in Galyang Municipality of Syangja, built with the investment of the Government of India under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation', has been inaugurated.

The building, which was built at a cost of 40.13 million rupees, was jointly inaugurated on Friday by Avinash Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Indian Embassy, ​​Kathmandu, District Coordination Committee, Head of Syangja Shri Prasad G.T and Galang Municipality Mayor Guru Prasad Bhattarai. Political representatives, government officials, social workers, hospital management representatives, doctors, medical staff members and officials of Galyang Nagar Hospital were also present in the program.

The Government of India's grant assistance under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation' was used for the construction of the hospital building along with other necessary facilities and medical equipment for the Galyang Nagar Hospital. Under the agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal, this project was promoted as a high impact community development project. This project was implemented through District Coordination Committee, Syangja.

Meanwhile, the head of district coordination committee, city head of Galyang municipality, political representatives and representatives of hospital management expressed their opinions and praised the continuous development assistance provided by the Indian government for the upliftment of Nepali people in priority areas. Galyang Community Hospital was established in 2010 by the local people in a small rented house with the approval of the Government of Nepal with the aim of providing quality health services and solving various health related problems. The name of the hospital, which has the financial support of Galyang Municipality, has now been changed to Galyang Nagar Hospital. The hospital has been providing health services to residents of Syangja, Palpa, Parbat and Gulmi districts.

The newly built structure built for this hospital will be useful in providing quality infrastructure and quality environment in health services to the people of Nepal. Being close neighbors, there is extensive and multi-sectoral cooperation between India and Nepal. The implementation of this high impact community development project has reflected that the Government of India is always ready to join hands in the efforts undertaken by the Government of Nepal for the upliftment of the Nepali people and the expansion of infrastructure in priority areas.
