Oct 26, Kathmandu- Dengue infection has been confirmed in 399 people in Palpa this year.
According to Health Office Palpa, the number of infections has been confirmed since last January.
It has been found that 241 of the infected people are from within the district and others are citizens who have come from outside the district for treatment.
Madhusudhan Bhattarai, Information Officer of the Health Office, Palpa informed that the infection has also been seen in the citizens of various local levels of the district and the citizens of the outer districts who come for treatment at the United Mission Hospital and Lumbini Medical College in Tansen.
The spread of the infection is due to the increase in the range of tests and the fact that there is a lot of rain, which helps the growth and development of mosquitoes.
In recent years, dengue infection in the district has been increasing every year. Last year, a total of 655 people were infected in the district.
In order to control the infection, the infection has increased despite conducting a 'search and destroy' campaign through all the local level health departments of the district.

In case of dengue infection, symptoms such as severe headache, pain in the eyeball and back of the eye, joint and muscle pain, body aches, nausea, stomachache, bleeding from the nose or gums, bleeding or spots of blood on the body, fainting appear.
