The government is serious about people's problems: Communication Minister Gurung

Oct 26, Kathmandu- Information and Communication Technologies Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the current government is serious about solving the problems of the people.

In a program organized by the District Committee of Nepal Communist Party-UML on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Samvat and Chhath this morning at Besisahar Municipality-8, he said that the government is working to help the flood victims, cooperative victims, farmers, businessmen, construction workers, etc.

Informing that the government has decided to provide Rs 10 million to the municipalities that have been severely affected by the floods and Rs 6 million to those with moderate damage, he said that the government will also arrange for temporary accommodation. Minister Gurung expressed the commitment of the government to complete the work on priority, from solving the problems of 1.5 million farmers out of 3 million milk farmers to paying construction workers.

Since the formation of the current government, they are making every effort to improve the country's economy, Prime Minister KP Oli has emphasized expanding international relations and relations with neighbors, Minister of Communication Gurung said that the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and European banks are also supporting the country with an open heart in the fields of environment, education and health.

He said that all those involved in the fraud of cooperative funds will be brought under the scope of investigation and all those who are under the control of the police for the investigation of fraud will be prosecuted according to the law. Expressing his commitment to bring everyone who violates the law to justice, Minister of Communications Gurung made it clear that the ruling party and the opposition will not be seen, and the government will not be under pressure or influence from anyone.

"The government is about to formulate a policy to manage social networks. This is the age of IT and information, the Ministry of Communication will do everything through the citizen app. The work of 4G service has been completed 80 percent.
