Drug Shortage In Humla District Hospital

Oct 26, Kathmandu- There is shortage of medicine in Humla District Hospital. According to the hospital, the shortage of medicine has been observed as the medicine in the hospital has run out and new medicine has not been procured.

Bhavita Shahi of Simkot-4, who brought her sister-in-law to the hospital for treatment, complained that she could not buy medicine after the check-up. She brought her sister-in-law Bhanu Shahi, who was injured after falling from the roof of the house, to the district hospital for treatment.

Senior Anami Sarita Bohra of the hospital admitted that there was a shortage of medicines and said that there was also a shortage of spread cotton for patients with wounds.

According to him, there is also a problem in the procurement of medicines as the employees of the health service office have been transferred and the new ones have not been given the right to spend money.
