Oct 26, Kathmandu- Drones have been used to transport daily goods weighing less than five kilograms in Mohare Danda, a tourist spot in Annapurna rural municipality.

Bharat Kumar Pun, president of Annapurna Rural Municipality-8, said that goods were transported from Nagi to Mohare Danda, a tourist spot in the same ward, using drones.

A drone made by the National Innovation Center was used.

"The technical team of the center sent goods hanging on a drone from Nagi to Mohare Danda on Friday and Saturday," he said. He said, "Drones are useful for transporting medicines and consumables in hilly and disaster-affected areas".

President Pun said that there is coordination with Dr. Mahabir Pun, the president of the Innovation Center, to continue using drones for transporting goods to tourist spots including Mohare Danda.
