21 Arrested While Gambling In Panauti

Oct 27, Kathmandu- 21 people were arrested last night while gambling from Khyaku located in Panauti municipality-11 Balthali.

According to Banepa area police office, 93,315 rupees were recovered from 21 people who were arrested while playing gambling.

Police inspector Ramesh Thapa informed that the arrestees are being kept in IPR Banepa and preparations are being made to extend the deadline today. According to him, the police team arrested Ramesh Thapa of Khyaku at night based on a tip-off that he was gambling at his house.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the police arrested five people from Panauti-9 Kunwar village while they were gambling and seized Rs 95,000 in cash.

The police said that a case has been filed against the group and further investigation is underway.12
