'AI' Conference Started In Kathmandu

Oct 27, Kathmandu- The International Artificial Intelligence (AI) conference has commenced in Kathmandu. This two-day event has been organized by the National Youth Association of Nepal, an organization affiliated with CPN-UML.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the conference. He said that the government is preparing to make a national policy related to 'AI' and to move forward, he mentioned that coordination and understanding between the government, private sector and civil society is necessary to develop, expand and manage AI along with other information technologies. Prime Minister Oli said that 'AI' should be used for the development and convenience of people.

The conference will discuss 10 different topics related to 'AI'. Similarly, Yuwa Sangh Nepal has informed that a research paper will be presented on the opportunities, challenges and strategic ways of building the foundation of 'AI' in Nepal. The association informed that the conference was organized to inform the Nepali society about the development and use of 'AI' in the world market.

At the conference, Samir Maskey of Fuse Machines, Juha Roning of euRobotics, Professor Kazuhiro Kosuge of the University of Hong Kong Robotics System, Professor Jorge-Manuel Miranda-Dias of Khalifa University, etc. Similarly, leaders like Gagan Thapa, Girirajmani Pokharel, Shankar Pokharel, Pradeep Gyawali and others are also scheduled to address the topic of 'AI'.
