182 Dengue Cases In Sindhuli

Oct 29, Kathmandu- The number of dengue patients in Sindhuli district has reached 182. With the confirmation of dengue infection in seven more people in the district last Monday, the number of dengue infection patients has reached 182. According to Sindhuli Public Health Office, six people from Dudhauli Municipality and one from Kamalamai Municipality were confirmed to have dengue infection on Monday.

According to the office, 101 men and 81 women have been confirmed to be infected with dengue from Shrawan 1st to Monday (Kartik 12th). The highest number of dengue patients were seen in Dudhauli Municipality, 126 people. After that, 36 people were seen in Kamalamai municipality, nine in Marin village, six in Tinpatan village, two each in Fikkal and Golanjor villages and one in Sunkoshi village.

Lab Technician Officer Gangaram Karki informed that no dengue patients have been found in Hariharpurgarhi and Gyanglekh villages so far. Similarly, during the same period, 167 people were infected with scrub typhus in Sindhuli district. Out of them, scrub typhus infection was found in two people, one woman and one man, in Dudhauli Municipality only on Monday.

Among the scrub typhus infected patients, 92 are women and 75 are men. Lab Technician Officer Karki said that the highest number of scrub typhus infections occurred in Dudhauli municipality in 115 people.

According to him, 24 people have been infected in Tinpatan village, 20 people in Kamalamai municipality, three people in Hariharpurgarhi village, two people in Marin village and one each in Golanjor, Sunkosi and Khyanglekh villages. No patients of this disease have been found in Phikkal Bazar.
